About Us
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a Protestant denomination with over 22 million members worldwide, including more than one million members in North America.

Adventists believe there is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three co-eternal Persons. God provided salvation by sending His Son Jesus to Earth where He lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father’s will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of all humanity and rose from the dead on the third day, victory and eternal life was won for everyone whose eyes of faith are turned to Him.

Before Jesus returned to heaven following His resurrection, He assured us that His Father would send the Holy Spirit as our Comforter and Counselor. He promised to return to Earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His followers to heaven. Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day.

In accordance with the fourth commandment, Adventists honor the seventh day of the week, from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown, as the holy Sabbath day. We rest from all our work, just as God rested on the seventh day and made it holy after completing the creation of Earth.

Because Adventists believe that God is deeply concerned with every aspect of the human experience, we seek to enhance the quality of life for people everywhere through our hospital systems, educational institutions, relief organizations, publications, and the caring involvement of all our more. Our primary goal is to have every member working together to relieve suffering, share the hope of salvation, and help others prepare for Jesus’ soon return. This is our mission and this is our hope!
